What should I do if the watch stops after not being worn for a while?
This is normal for an automatic mechanical watch and does not necessarily indicate a fault. Before wearing it again, manually wind the watch to restore power, then wear it normally so wrist movement can continue powering the movement.
Can I swim or shower with a 50M water-resistant watch?
It is not recommended. The watch is rated to 5BAR / 50M water resistance, which is suitable for everyday hand washing, rain, and light splashes. Welly Merck does not recommend using 30M or 50M water-resistant watches for swimming. Avoid hot showers, baths, saunas, and environments with large temperature changes, as heat can affect the sealing performance.
Is some daily time deviation normal for a mechanical watch?
Yes. Mechanical watches rely on precision mechanical components and can be affected by gravity, temperature, power reserve, and wearing habits. According to Welly Merck, a daily deviation of around 30 seconds or less is generally considered within a normal range.
What can cause the watch to suddenly run too fast or too slow?
Common causes include low power reserve, exposure to magnetic fields, strong impacts or shocks, or the movement requiring maintenance. If the time deviation becomes noticeable, fully wind the watch and monitor it again. If the issue continues, professional inspection is recommended.
What does the skeleton dial design mean?
A skeleton dial exposes part of the internal mechanical movement, allowing you to see gears and other moving components in operation. This watch also features an exhibition case back, so the movement can be viewed from both the front and rear.
